God gave me two beautiful sisters Jody and Mia, and both of them have been my best friends. On March 9, 2006, Jody was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer. She was not a smoker and always took excellent care of herself. The news that day was shocking and heart wrenching...it changed our lives forever. Jody and her beloved husband Scott, with the support of family and friends, fought and prayed hard hoping to win the battle, but God had different plans.....
Seven months after her diagnosis, The Lord lifted Jody out of this world and carried her into His perfect presence. She's in Heaven now. During those same difficult months my own son Daniel was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He is in remission now and doing well. In His perfect, mysterious way, God healed these two people that I love so much.
Jody loved the Lord. With the incredible talent that He gave her as a singer and songwriter, She glorified God through her music, her words and her beautiful voice. Jody was always loving and supportive toward me and without a doubt she was one of my biggest fans! I have never missed anyone as much I miss Jody and I have never grieved a loss like this, but I trust in the Lord and every day I put my hope in Him. My life is in His hands and that's where I want to stay.
I know I will be with Jody, Mom and Dad again one day. I look forward to Heaven and I think about that place every single day.
